Russell Slatton is a highly experienced Senior Geospatial Ecologist at the U.S. Department of the Interior, with extensive expertise in geospatial ecology and natural resource planning. Russell has worked at the Bureau of Land Management since March 2013, holding several significant roles, including National Senior Natural Resources Specialist, where responsibilities included project management for national programs and providing expert guidance in geospatial ecology. Additional positions have included leading GIS initiatives and data management efforts across various national programs. Prior to government service, Russell co-founded Geographic Consulting, LLC, specializing in forestry and ecology, and has experience as a Planning Assistant for Washington County and a Field Assistant for The Nature Conservancy. Educational qualifications include a BA in Geography and Planning from California State University, Chico, and an MS in Forestry Science from Michigan Technological University.
