Junwei Lyu is a Software Engineer and Research Scientist at the Bureau of Meteorology, working on the LFRic project focused on the Next Generation Modelling Systems for Numerical Weather Prediction. Prior experience includes serving as a CFD Engineer at CPP Wind Engineering Consultants, where contributions involved assessing wind comfort conditions, developing simulation workflows, and conducting pressure drop analyses. Junwei completed a PhD in Civil Engineering at The University of Queensland, exploring wake behavior and developing design guidelines for innovative structures, coupled with machine-learning prediction tools. Academic qualifications comprise a Bachelor's degree from South China University of Technology, a Master's degree in progress at Georgia Institute of Technology, and coursework at Chalmers University of Technology.
