Malcolm Cowe is an experienced professional in High Performance Computing (HPC) with a career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as Operations Manager for High Performance Computing at the Bureau of Meteorology since January 2019, Malcolm Cowe has held various roles including acting manager and team lead within the same department. Prior to this, Malcolm Cowe contributed to Intel Corporation from November 2012 to January 2019 as a Systems Integration Engineer and Product Manager for the Lustre Parallel File System, leading the development and deployment of large-scale HPC solutions globally. Malcolm Cowe's career also includes significant positions at Oracle, Sun Microsystems, Agilent Technologies, and earlier roles in programming and systems support, underpinned by a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Computer Science from the University of Edinburgh.
