Russell Petty

Russell Petty is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in solution architecture, specializing in cloud integration, security, and application development. Currently serving as a Senior Solutions Architect at the Bureau of Meteorology since June 2021, Russell leads the ROBUST project, a major security initiative with a focus on system replacement and cloud migration. Previous roles include Digital Solution Architect at Aurecon, where Russell re-architected and migrated a custom application to Azure Cloud, and Solution Architect at Caulfield Grammar School, developing a multi-cloud architecture strategy. Additional experience includes solution architecture positions at Toyota, Versent, DB Results, National Australia Bank, CSIRO, and TATE, demonstrating a consistent ability to drive IT modernization and integration projects. Russell holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Physics, Computer Science, and Mathematics from the University of Melbourne.
