Carmen Ormeño Torres

Carmen Ormeño Torres has a wealth of work experience in the environmental sector. Carmen began their career in 2013 as a Consultora Ambiental - Hidrobiología for Pacific Stratus Energy with Maroni Consultores. Carmen then worked as a Consultora Socio-Ambiental for Repsol Exploración Perú with GEMA (Servicios Geográficos y Medio Ambiente SAC) in 2012. From 2013 to 2014, they worked as a Consultora Socio-Ambiental for Rio Tinto Minera Perú with Futuro Sostenible, and as a Coordinadora Socio Ambiental for Rio Tinto. In 2014, they worked as a Consultora Ambiental - Hidrobiología for Petrobras with GEMA (Servicios Geográficos y Medio Ambiente SAC). From 2015 to 2018, they worked as an Asesora en Desempeño Social y Comunidades for Rio Tinto. From 2018 to 2021, they worked as an Especialista Ambiental for Programa Nacional de Innovación en Pesca y Acuicultura - PNIPA. Most recently, they have been working as a Coordinadora Nacional para Proyectos en Perú for 3Vectores since 2021, and is currently employed as an Environmental Programs Manager for Bureo Inc. since 2022.

Carmen Ormeño Torres began their education in 1998, earning an Ingeniera Pesquera degree from Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina in the field of Acuicultura y Medio Ambiente. In 2013, they continued their studies at Universidad Científica del Sur, graduating with a Maestria Gestión y auditorías ambientales in 2016, with a focus on Gestión integral del agua y Educación ambiental. In June 2021, they obtained a Certified facilitator - Circular Design Thinking (CDT) certification from 3Vectores.
