Leann Smith has a diverse and extensive work experience in the fast food industry, primarily with Burger King. Leann started their career in 2006 as a Franchise & Development Analyst at Burger King Corporation. In 2010, they joined Burger King New Zealand as a Senior Business Analyst and later moved up the ranks, holding positions such as Senior Consumer and Business Insights Analyst, Senior Insights & Brand Manager, and Marketing Manager. Currently, they are the Head of Marketing at Burger King New Zealand.

Leann Smith attended the University of Otago from 1995 to 1998 and obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Marketing.

We served our first flame grilled Whopper™ in our first New Zealand restaurant in 1994. Back then, grunge was big, phones had cords, the internet had just been invented, and we were on a mission to make better burgers for burger lovers throughout the country! Since then, many things have changed in New Zealand, but not our burgers. They contain only the best ingredients, and we make every meal to order so our food is fresh, hot, and tasty! We've grown to 75 restaurants all around the country and we employ more than 1,500 awesome people!
