Rachael Floreani

Rachael Floreani is an accomplished professional in the fields of tissue engineering and biomaterials, currently serving as Co-Founder and President at Burlington Bio since February 2022, where the company specializes in hydrogel scaffolds and microcarriers for the cultivated meat and cellular agriculture sectors. With over 25 years of experience, Rachael combines expertise in engineering with innovative cellular solutions. Additionally, Rachael holds the position of Associate Professor at the University of Vermont, where involvement spans biomaterials, mechanics, engineering, plastics, sustainability, and food systems. Prior experience includes serving as an Assistant Professor at the University of Washington and as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. Rachael's academic background includes a PhD and MS in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University, as well as a BS in Biomedical Engineering from Michigan Technological University.
