James Dekens

James Dekens is currently the Manager of Neighbourhood Branches at Burlington Public Library since November 2017. Prior to this role, James worked at the City of Mississauga in various positions including Manager of Woodlands Library, Sheridan Library, and Burnhamthorpe Library. James also served as Acting Manager in the Readers' Den Department and held positions as a Senior Librarian at Readers' Den Department and a Librarian at Erin Meadows Branch Library. Earlier in their career, James was an Archivist for Special Projects at Grand Rapids Public Library. James holds a Master of Library & Information Science from Western University, a Bachelor of Arts in History from Calvin University, and a Diploma in Intermedia/Multimedia from Lethbridge College.
