Carlos Portela

Carlos Portela is an experienced professional in asset protection and management, currently serving as the Regional Asset Protection Manager at Burlington Stores, Inc. since May 2022 and as the Owner Operator of Portela Capital Blockchain Investments since May 2021. Prior positions include Senior Manager of Digital Sales and Customer Service and Senior Operations and Asset Protection Manager at Macy's, as well as District Manager of Asset Protection at Saks Fifth Avenue. Carlos also co-owned Hurricane Hideout Island Sports Bar & Grill and held the role of Store Manager at CVS Health. Carlos's extensive career at Macy's spanned over a decade, with various roles including District Director of Asset Protection and Northeast Asset Protection Regional Training Manager. Educationally, Carlos enhanced skills through advanced training in interview and interrogation techniques at Wicklander-Zulawski & Associates, and holds a high school diploma from Florida International Academy.
