Keith Chong

District Principal at Burnaby School District - SD41

Keith Chong has extensive work experience in the education sector. Keith started their career as a Mathematics Helping Teacher at School District #42 Maple Ridge - Pitt Meadows in 1987 and held this role until 1993. From 1993 to 1995, they worked as a Sessional Lecturer and Faculty Associate at The University of British Columbia, where they taught Mathematics Method courses to pre-service teachers and supervised students on practicum. In 1995, they joined Delta School District as a Mathematics Coordinator, a role they held for two years. From 2000 to 2010, Keith worked at Burnaby School District, first as a Principal from 2000 to 2010 and then as a District Principal from 2010 until the present.

Keith Chong received a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Microbiology from The University of British Columbia, completing their degree from 1975 to 1979. Keith also earned a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Educational Administration from the same university during the same period.
