Iain McRuvie has a comprehensive work experience in the retail and food industry. Iain started their career at Gay Lea Foods in 1994 as a Key Account Manager. After working for three years, they moved to Yoplait, where they held multiple positions. Iain started as a Key Account Manager and was responsible for managing sales and promotions at regional chain accounts in Ontario. Iain then became a Regional Sales Manager, overseeing all aspects of the Ontario operation and generating significant sales revenue. Later, they took on the role of Director, National Accounts, leading key account sales teams for major grocery chains such as Sobeys, Walmart, and Costco. In this role, they developed key account business plans and tactics and exceeded budgets, generating annual revenue of $140M in 2012. In 2012, Iain joined iogo - Ultima Foods as Director, National Accounts, where they successfully introduced the iogo brand to the Canadian market for Sobeys, Walmart, and Costco. Iain developed and executed sales plans and ensured client buy-in through commercial agreement plans. Currently, they work at Burnbrae Farms as the Vice President of Retail Sales, where they are responsible for strategic retail sales leadership. Iain McRuvie has a Bachelor's degree in History from York University, which they obtained from 1987 to 1992. Iain also completed a short-term course called "The Complete Skilled Negotiator" at The GAP Partnership in 2016.
