Ian McFall has extensive work experience in the food industry, specifically with Burnbrae Farms. Ian began their career with Burnbrae Farms in 1988, starting as a Production Manager and later becoming the Plant & Distribution Manager. Ian then transitioned to roles with increasing responsibility, including Manager of Further Processing and National Director of Industrial Sales & Egg Procurement. In 2006, they became the Vice President of Industrial Sales & Further Processed Business Development and also served as the General Manager of the Brockville Plant. In 2015, they were promoted to Vice President of Foodservice & Industrial Sales. Most recently, they hold the position of Executive Vice President at Burnbrae Farms, starting in March 2020. Prior to their time at Burnbrae Farms, they worked as a Laboratory Technician at the Ontario Ministry of the Environment and as a Conservation Technician at the Napanee Region Conservation Authority.
Ian McFall earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography with honors from Queen's University, which they completed between 1980 and 1984. In 1995, they attended a workshop on the thermal processing of eggs and egg products at the Guelph Food Technology Center. Additionally, Ian participated in a workshop on HACCP and food safety at the same institution in 1995. Furthermore, they completed a program on microbiological concerns in food plant sanitation and hygiene at Silliker Laboratories in an unspecified year. Ian also undertook an executive development program focused on agriculture at the George Morris Centre in 2012. Finally, they completed the Executive Leadership Development Program in October 2016 at the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management.
