Tharindu Wickramaarachchi is a Mathematical Modeller in Health at Burnet Institute, with expertise in mathematical modeling, simulations, and health economics analysis regarding infectious diseases, child and adolescent health, and maternal health since November 2020. Previously, Tharindu served as a Lecturer in Mathematics at The Open University of Sri Lanka from September 2015 to February 2020, focusing on delivering lectures and developing online learning resources. Tharindu also worked as a Research Assistant in Mathematics at the University of Colombo from April 2012 to August 2015, where responsibilities included developing mathematical models and lecturing in undergraduate programs. Early career experience includes serving as a Quality Assurance Engineer at Virtusa. Tharindu holds a PhD in Mathematical Modelling and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Finance, both from the University of Colombo.
