Martin Dixon has a diverse work experience in the finance and business field. Martin started their career as an Accountancy Assistant at Hyndburn Borough Council in April 2007 and worked there until January 2009. Following that, they joined Burnley Borough Council as an Accountancy Assistant in January 2009 and worked in that role until April 2014. From April 2014 to May 2022, Martin served as a Financial Business Partner at Burnley Borough Council. In 2022, they moved to Burnley Youth Theatre as a Finance Manager in August and transitioned to the role of Finance & Business Manager at Burnley Leisure & Culture in May.
Martin Dixon attended Accrington & Rossendale College from 2005 to 2008, completing a degree in Accounting. The degree obtained was an AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians).

We are a registered charitable trust established in 2014. We operate the majority of leisure facilities in Burnley previously managed by Burnley Council’s sport and culture services. We aspire to promote active and healthy communities and strive to provide premier facilities for recreation, sport and cultural pursuits.
