Marika Hernefur has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Marika started their career in 2009 as a Graphic Designer at Sportlotteriet, where they were responsible for design and production management of marketing materials and scratch cards for a Swedish national lottery. Marika then joined KYH Yrkeshögskola in 2010 as a Program Manager and Educator, where they managed a vocal education program in agile web development and held courses in UX and agile methodologies. In 2011, Marika joined Burt as the Director of User Experience, a role they held until 2019. During this time, they played a key role in shaping the user experience strategy. In 2013, they briefly worked at CP+B Scandinavia as a User Experience Designer. Most recently, Marika joined Burt Intelligence in 2019 as the VP of Product, where they currently hold this position.
Marika Hernefur completed their Gymnasieexamen in Media Technology from Östrabogymnasiet between 2002 and 2005. Marika then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Media and communication technology from Linköping University, which they successfully obtained between 2005 and 2008.
