Rachel Cook

Rachel Cook is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in educational support and research. As the Additional Learning Support Team Leader at Burton and South Derbyshire College since August 2023, Rachel oversees vital learning support initiatives. Prior to this role, Rachel served as a Teaching Assistant at Moira Primary School from November 2015 to August 2023 and at Eureka Primary School from January 2012 to November 2015. Earlier career experience includes a position as a Research Technician at the University of Nottingham's Derby Medical School, where Rachel focused on the role of inflammation in pre-term labor, and as a Clinical Trial Coordinator at the University of Birmingham. Rachel holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Nottingham and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Biological Sciences from the University of the West of England.
