Sonya Sibold

Sonya Sibold serves as Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary at Burton Snowboards since October 2012, overseeing all global legal matters including licensing, litigation, corporate governance, and intellectual property management. Prior experience includes serving as Associate General Counsel at Burton, where strategic legal support was provided for manufacturing, sponsorships, and distribution, as well as leading brand protection initiatives. Prior to Burton, Sibold was Of Counsel at Paul Frank + Collins P.C., focusing on employment law and litigation, and an Associate Attorney at Steptoe & Johnson PLLC, specializing in ski industry and employment litigation. Sibold holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from West Virginia University, earned between 1998 and 2001.
