Anisha Singh

Vice President at Busara Center for Behavioral Economics

As the Director of Research and Innovation at Busara, Anisha leads the design and implementation of academically rigorous research and builds methodologically tested research tools and technology needed to work with hard-to-reach populations. Her research portfolio focuses on meta topics such as cross cultural measurement, ethical research and methods, as well as mechanisms and behaviors that contribute toward gender differences in key policy outcomes in the Global South. In her immediate previous role as Busara’s Research Engagement Director, Anisha led academic partnerships and operations to expand into new geographies, including the setting up of new research operations in India and Nigeria. She also set up collaborations for new decision labs by leading key partnerships with Nudge Lebanon and the American University of Cairo to establish co-branded decision labs. She has 6+ years of experience leading teams to manage small and large-scale experimental and quantitative research. Prior to joining Busara, Anisha led a portfolio of field experiments with IFMR LEAD in India, expanding financial access, opportunities and capabilities. She holds an MSc in Social Cognition: Research and Applications from the University College London, UK and a BSc in Economics from the Singapore Management University, Singapore.
