Mike Holden

Vice President, Policy & Chief Economist at Business Council of Alberta

Mike Holden is an accomplished economist with extensive experience in policy and economic analysis. Currently serving as Vice President, Policy & Chief Economist at the Business Council of Alberta since September 2019, Mike previously held the position of Chief Economist at Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters from May 2014 to September 2019, where contributions included co-architecting the Industrie 2030 initiative and leading national economic analysis. Prior roles include Senior Economist at the Canada West Foundation and Analyst at the Library of Parliament, with a foundational career as an Economist at the Atlantic Provinces Economic Council. Mike holds a Master of Arts in Economics from Queen's University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Alberta.
