Melissa Smith

Melissa Smith is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in sales enablement and account management. Currently serving as Manager of Sales Enablement at BDC since April 2005, Melissa has played a pivotal role in providing financing options and consulting services to small and medium enterprises. Prior to this role, Melissa was a Senior Account Manager on the B Corp Team and contributed to product development and client experience initiatives. Melissa's background includes a tenure at Scotiabank as an Account Manager and Credit Analyst, where financial analysis and client portfolio management were key responsibilities. Earlier in Melissa's career, an auditing position at the Auditor General of Nova Scotia provided foundational experience in standard audit procedures and legislative research. Melissa holds a Commerce degree in Accounting from Dalhousie University, completed in 2003.
