Kirsi-Maarit Poljatschenko has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in the fields of international trade and market expansion. Kirsi-Maarit started their career at Maersk Logistics in 2001, where they served as the Managing Director for Maersk Finland Oy until 2008. During this time, they also held the position of Managing Director for Maersk Eesti, Maersk Latvija, and Maersk Lietuva.
In 2008, Kirsi-Maarit joined Hyundai Merchant Marine Finland as the General Manager until 2011. Kirsi-Maarit then moved on to work as the Sales Director for the East Region at ZAO Containerships St Petersburg from 2011 to 2012.
From 2012 to 2017, Kirsi-Maarit worked at Finpro, a Finnish organization focused on international trade. Kirsi-Maarit held several roles at Finpro, including Vice President and Head of Region Central and East Europe, Vice President and Head of Region Russia & Kazakhstan, and Head of Trade Center. In these roles, they led teams in exploring internationalization opportunities for Finnish enterprises, generated growth for Finland through networking and market opportunities, and contributed to the business development of Finnish companies through expanded local networks and knowledge bases.
In 2018, Kirsi-Maarit joined Business Finland as the Senior Director. Kirsi-Maarit has held positions such as Senior Director - Head of Region Central and East Europe, Senior Director, Head of Region Central and East Europe, and currently serves as the Senior Director - Strategic Market Area Europe.
