Hugh Brown

Hugh Brown has over 20 years of work experience in various industries and roles. Hugh is currently working as the Global Head of Financial Services at BSR (Business for Social Responsibility) since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Ceres, Inc. from 2018 to 2022, where they held roles such as Sr. Director of Investor Engagement for Food & Forests and Senior Manager of Investor Engagement for Water. Hugh also has experience working at the State Board of Administration of Florida as an Analyst from 2014 to 2018. Before that, they worked as an Institutional Advisor at FBMC Benefits Management in 2013, and as a Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management from 2010 to 2013. Hugh started their career in public service as a Gubernatorial Fellow at the Executive Office of The Governor from 2009 to 2010. Hugh also has experience in the financial industry, having worked as a Financial Representative at Northwestern Mutual from 2006 to 2010. Hugh began their career as a Surgical Technologist at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital and served in the United States Air Force from 1998 to 2002. Hugh has a diverse range of skills, including investment management, corporate governance, research, project management, and relationship management.

Hugh Brown has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in History and International Relations and Affairs from Florida State University. Hugh also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University.
