Jacob Park

Director, Sustainable Futures Lab at Business for Social Responsibility

Jacob Park has a diverse work experience spanning over several organizations and roles. Jacob started their career as the Human Rights and Conflict Program Coordinator at the Center for Economic and Social Rights, where they conducted research and wrote reports on human rights issues in conflict zones. Jacob then worked as a Philanthropic Advisor and Online Communications Consultant at The Caipirinha Foundation, evaluating grant proposals and launching initiatives at the Venice Film Festival.

Moving on, Jacob served as an Online Community Development Consultant at Democrats.com, utilizing social media and web platforms to engage with activists. Jacob later pursued an MBA in Sustainable Management at Presidio Graduate School, where they led student consulting teams and founded a venture accelerator called Thinkubeta.

Jacob then joined Adaptive Edge as a Strategic Foresight Practitioner, using scenario planning to help clients make better decisions for the future. Jacob also had the opportunity to work with the Detroit health care safety net community on a transformative scenario planning initiative. Following this, they became the Director of Marketing at Drivve LLC, overseeing channel marketing efforts and managing the creation of an online training platform.

As a Principal Sustainability Advisor at Forum for the Future, Jacob worked on futures projects for various organizations globally. Notably, they authored the Retail Horizons scenarios used by Fortune 500 companies for strategy and innovation. Currently, Jacob holds the position of Director at BSR's Sustainable Futures Lab, using foresight methodologies to help businesses develop sustainable and resilient strategies.

Jacob Park earned their MBA in Sustainable Management from Presidio Graduate School from 2008 to 2010. Prior to that, they completed their BA in French History at the University of Chicago.
