Jennifer Stark

Co-director, Center For Business & Social Justice at Business for Social Responsibility

Jennifer Stark has a diverse and extensive work experience in various organizations and roles. Jennifer is currently working as the Co-Director of the Center for Business & Social Justice at BSR (Business for Social Responsibility). In this role, they are responsible for advancing health and economic justice by connecting leaders in movements with private sector allies, identifying effective business practices, and promoting behavior and systems change.

Prior to their current position, Jennifer served as the Senior Director of Corporate Strategy at Tara Health Foundation from 2019 to 2022. Jennifer was responsible for developing and implementing corporate strategies for the organization.

Jennifer also has experience working at Planned Parenthood Federation of America, where they held the positions of Director of Corporate Relations and Corporate Relations Officer. Jennifer played a significant role in redefining how sexual and reproductive health is perceived in the private sector and promoting gender equality in the workforce.

Furthermore, Jennifer worked as the Director of Development at Advocates for Youth, where they oversaw fundraising operations and managed a team responsible for raising a budget for an advocacy and education organization focused on protecting and supporting the health of young people.

In addition to their work experience, Jennifer has served on various advisory boards and boards of directors, including the Carolina Women's Center Advisory Board at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and as a Board Member at Choice USA.

Jennifer Stark attended Charlotte Country Day School from 1995 to 1998. Afterward, they pursued their undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 1998 to 2002, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics & Political Science.
