Henry Wong has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries. Henry started their career at CarMax, where they worked as a Strategy Analyst and later, as a Senior Strategy Analyst from 2004 to 2011. Following this, they became a Vice President and Owner at W3 Strategic Management Group, LLC, where they pioneered the growth of the local food truck market and established the Knoxville Mobile Restaurant Association. Henry then worked as an Outside Sales Executive at Eat24 in 2014. From 2015 to 2018, they served as a Food Incubator Program Support Contractor at Ventures. Henry also had a self-employed contractor role as a Management Consultant. Most recently, they held positions at Business Impact NW, including Office of Labor Standards Project Manager & Business Consultant and Director, Food Business Resource Center (FBRC) & Special Projects. Throughout their career, Henry has demonstrated expertise in management consulting, business development, sales, and program management.

Henry Wong obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia between 2000 and 2004. In 2020, they completed an Executive Certification in Social Impact Strategy from the University of Pennsylvania. Henry Wong also holds additional certifications, including the Accredited Small Business Consultant (ASBC) from the Association of Accredited Small Business Consultants® obtained in June 2020. In July 2019, they completed Level 1 Consultant Training in Food Business Model Optimization and Level 2 Consultant Training in Food Business Financial Packaging from the Food Finance Institute / University of Wisconsin System.

Business Impact NW

Business Impact NW provides coaching, classes, and capital to meet the needs of low/moderate-income business owners and underserved areas in Washington and Oregon; particularly, serving women, persons of color, veteran, immigrant, and LGBTQ+ owned businesses in order to create positive economic impact within these communities. Business Impact NW offers financing and coaching services at every stage in a business’s development. Through our in-house programs, we offer support classes and one-on-one counseling for all entrepreneurs, from startup to established business ownership. As a community lender, we offer business loans from $5,000-$350,000 to qualified small business entrepreneurs. We also focus on partnerships across the Pacific Northwest in order to deliver robust opportunities. This collaboration includes credit unions, banks, corporations, private foundations and gov’t agencies including the SBA and CDFI; local gov’t HUD and economic development departments; our own robust training/coaching programs with the WA Women’s Business Center and the Veterans Business Outreach Center; and diverse local community development not-for-profit partner organizations.
