Daniel Hunter

Daniel Hunter has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in different organizations. Daniel is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at Business NSW since May 2021. Prior to this, they worked at NSW Health as the Deputy Secretary, Finance and Asset Management, and Chief Financial Officer from September 2018 to April 2021. Before that, they served as the Chief Executive of HealthShare NSW from June 2015 to September 2018. Daniel also held several managerial positions at Sydney Water from June 2006 to June 2015, including General Manager of Transformation and General Manager of People Leadership and Culture. Additionally, they worked as the Financial Controller at Pacific Magazines from September 2001 to September 2005 and as the Regional Financial Controller at InterContinental Hotels Group from December 1997 to September 2001.

Daniel Hunter has a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance and Management from The University of Auckland, which they completed between 1993 and 1996. Daniel then pursued a Masters of Accounting degree in Accounting and Finance at Griffith University from 1997 to 2000. In 2018, they attended Harvard Business School for a program in Executive Level Strategy.
