Jonathan Afowork is an undergraduate student at Princeton University, pursuing a degree in Molecular Biology. Currently serving as an Undergraduate Researcher in the Brangwynne Lab, Jonathan is focused on studying the roles of liquid-liquid phase separation and the nucleolus in stress responses. In addition, Jonathan is a Student Associate at Alimtas Bioventures, contributing to the translation of faculty-led therapeutics from research to clinical application. Past experiences include a Business Development Internship at Amgen, where Jonathan conducted market analysis and identified business opportunities in ophthalmology, and a Clinical Research Internship at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, analyzing patient data for risk factors related to surgical interventions. Earlier research work was done as a Research Assistant in Tissue Engineering at the University of Alberta. Jonathan's educational background includes completing an International Baccalaureate program and a summer academy at McGill University focused on neuro and health sciences.
