Sofia Bournou is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in international relations, currently serving as Senior Adviser at BusinessEurope since July 2011. In this role, Sofia manages various dossiers including EU-Russia relations, market access, raw materials, international investment, and export controls. Prior to this, Sofia gained valuable insights through a trainee position at the European Parliament and experiences in Greece's Ministry of Development and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, focusing on topics such as regional development and energy. Academically, Sofia holds an MSc in Local Economic Development from The London School of Economics and a BSc in International and European Studies from the University of Piraeus.
