Ricky Johnson has worked in various roles in sales, education, and advising. Ricky worked as an Inside Sales Representative at Fred Oberlender & Assoc. from 1989 to 2004. Later, they served as a Student Services Advisor at Amberton University from 2005 to 2006. From 2006 to 2013, they worked as a Special Education Teacher and Math Teacher for Garland ISD. Since 2015, Ricky has been working at Butler & Land, Inc. as an Outside Sales Representative, covering Northeast Texas, Northern Louisiana, and Southern Arkansas territories and managing customers such as Electric Utility Power Plants, Electric Cooperatives, Municipalities, Electric Industrial, Food and beverage, and Water/Waste Water.
From 2001 to 2006, Ricky Johnson attended Amberton University where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Relations and Business with a focus on Human Resources Development and Business.
