Chris Guthrie

Chris Guthrie has over two decades of experience in law enforcement and public safety, currently serving as a Lieutenant/Assistant Chief of Police at Butler Township since November 2003, where responsibilities include supervising patrol, investigative, and administrative divisions. Previous roles include Sergeant and Detective within the same department, alongside positions as a Firefighter/EMT with Englewood Fire Department and Union Fire Department, and as a Park Ranger with Five Rivers MetroParks. Early career experience includes police officer roles at Union Police Department and Perry Township Police Department, as well as public safety dispatcher positions in multiple city departments. Chris Guthrie holds an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice from Tiffin University and completed the Police Executive Leadership College in 2013.
