Patrick MacCarthy

Patrick MacCarthy serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Butterfly Medical since April 2024, leading efforts in the development of innovative medical devices for the treatment of BPH. Prior experience includes a tenure at Olympus Corporation of the Americas as Business Unit Vice President for Urology and Gynecology, where responsibilities encompassed P&L management, sales, marketing, and training. Previously, Patrick held various leadership roles at Merit Medical Systems and NinePoint Medical, focusing on marketing and sales strategies, clinical solutions in gastroenterology, and raising venture capital. Additional experience includes significant positions in marketing and product management at Olympus, as well as early roles at Accellent, Applied Materials, and Texas Instruments. Patrick holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.
