Shannon MacGilvray has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Most recently, from April 2022, they have been working as an Implementation Project Manager at ButterflyMX®, where they coordinate the installation of video intercoms and related hardware in commercial buildings. Shannon serves as the point of contact for client communication and scheduling while overseeing documentation and certification of installers.

Shannon also assisted with account management and sales, contributing to the transition of Mara-Mi products to Mayflower Distributing.

Starting their career in 2003, Shannon worked at The Art Marketplace as an Art Consultant/Management Trainee. Shannon served as an art consultant in the largest gallery in the country, assisting high-end clients with sales of fine art through in-gallery and in-home presentations.

Additionally, Shannon gained experience at Walt Disney World in 2003 as a Costumer. Shannon'sprimary responsibilities at Epcot involved assisting performers with costume maintenance, assembly, repair, and cleaning. Shannon also staffed an internal service desk and aided new performers with all elements required for each costume.

Shannon MacGilvray attended Rochester Institute of Technology from 1999 to 2003, where they pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Fine and Studio Arts. In 2022, they enrolled at Trailhead by Salesforce, but their degree name and field of study are not specified.
