Esther Niessen

Esther Niessen is a psychiatrist with extensive experience in various mental health settings. Currently serving at BuurtzorgT since February 2022, Esther previously worked at Altrecht focusing on complex personality disorders. Prior positions include consultant psychiatrist roles at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust, where Esther managed a community team addressing a wide range of mental health diagnoses. Esther's training includes comprehensive rotations in diverse psychiatric environments, including crisis intervention, psychotherapy, and specialized care for both children and adults with complex psychological needs. Esther completed a psychiatry residency program at GGZ inGeest and holds an MSc/MD in Medicine from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
