Ole Kristian Målbakken

Ole Kristian Målbakken has a diverse work experience in the field of information security. Ole Kristian most recently served as the Chief Information Security Officer at Buypass AS starting in 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Vipps as a Security Governance professional for a short period in the same year.

From 2016 to 2023, Målbakken held the position of Chief Security Officer (CSO) at Buypass AS. During this time, they gained valuable experience in managing security operations.

Before joining Buypass AS, Målbakken worked as a Partner and Risk & Security Advisor at Knowit Secure AS from 2014 to 2016. Ole Kristian had the opportunity to work on critical projects such as the national electronic election administration system (EVA) used in the National elections in 2015.

Ole Kristian'sprevious roles include Professional Services Manager at NTT Com Security from 2013 to 2014, Senior Security Consultant & Professional Service Manager at Secode Norway from 2010 to 2013, and Risk Manager at Telenor Operations & SIT from 2007 to 2010.

Målbakken started their career as a Senior Consultant and partner at VincIT from 2002 to 2005, where they provided consultation services related to information security risk analysis, security awareness, and implementation of security measures.

Ole Kristian also worked as a Senior Consultant and partner at Norsk Informasjonssikkerhet AS from 1999 to 2002, where they focused on ICT security and implementation of security measures.

Ole Kristian Målbakken completed their Master's degree in Information and communication security from KTH Royal Institute of Technology from 2002 to 2004. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree from the University of Oslo, Faculty of mathematics and Natural sciences, Department of Informatics from 1981 to 1987. Ole Kristian also attended NKI Technical College from 1979 to 1981, although the degree obtained is not specified. In terms of additional certifications, Ole obtained a Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge Foundation Training from the Cloud Security Alliance, a PCI Internal Security Assessor (ISA) certification from the PCI Security Standards Council in 2017 and 2022, and a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification from ISACA in 2012.
