Jagjot (JJ) Singh has worked in a variety of roles in the technology industry, beginning in 2012 as Lead Mentor and Advisor at StartX. In this role, they were Lead Advisor to over 50 companies in the healthcare and enterprise software markets, and was also a member of the admissions committee. In 2017, they became an Investor and Advisor at Zum, and Co President at Stanford Angels & Entrepreneurs, where they invested in over 100 seed stage startup technology companies, including SparkZ (cobalt free Li-Ion batteries), Zum Rides (EV school transportation), Medrio (clinical trials software), Workspan (enterprise software), Aerin (ENT device), Jetlore (Paypal, NASDAQ:PYPL), and CirroSecure (Palo Alto Networks, NYSE:PANW). In 2018, they became an Advisor at Subtle Medical, and in 2019 they were an Advisor at BrightInsight, OMNY, and Director of the Board of Directors at Alertive Healthcare, a remote patient monitoring software company that was acquired by Carbon Health. In 2014, they were an Advisor at Zephyrus Biosciences, a single cell protein analysis tool company that was named #1 Innovation of 2016 by The Scientist Magazine and was acquired by Bio-Techne Corporation (NASDAQ: TECH). In 2021, they became an Investor and Advisor at SPARKZ Inc., and in 2022 they became a Director of the Board of Directors at Buzz Solutions.
Jagjot (JJ) Singh completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Mechanical Engineering from Punjab Engineering College between 1980 and 1984. Jagjot (JJ) then attended Stanford University for a Master of Science (MS) in Engineering Economic Systems from 1984 to 1985. Lastly, they obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Stanford University Graduate School of Business between 1990 and 1992.
