Barbara Vacarr

Barbara Vacarr, PhD, is a seasoned leader and organizational development consultant, currently serving as a consultant and leadership coach at BV Consulting since February 2019. With extensive experience in higher education and mission-driven organizations, Barbara led significant cultural transformation as CEO of Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health from June 2016 to February 2021, achieving notable financial performance. As the Director of the Higher Education Initiative at Encore.org, Barbara catalyzed innovations in response to demographic shifts from 2014 to August 2016, and previously served as President of Goddard College, focusing on individualized learning for adult students. Barbara's academic roles at Lesley University spanned over two decades, including leadership in advanced graduate council and development of doctoral programs. Additionally, Barbara practiced mindfulness-based psychotherapy from 1994 to 2010. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Transpersonal Psychology and ordination as an Interfaith/Interspiritual Minister.
