Kieren Niĉolas Lovell has a diverse and extensive background in the field of cybersecurity. From 2010 to 2013, they served as a Communications & Information Systems Officer in the Norwegian Armed Forces. Kieren Niĉolas then worked as a Senior Communications Chief (CISO) at NATO from 2013 to 2014. Following this, they became a Communications Instructor at the Norwegian Armed Forces' Frigate Training & Cyber Warfare Centre.
In 2015, Lovell joined the University of Cambridge as the Head of the Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) and later took on the role of Information Security Implementation Manager & Instructor. During their tenure, they were responsible for handling IT security incidents, providing Threat Intelligence reports, and ensuring the University's infrastructure adhered to industry best practices.
Lovell also held positions at Tallinn University of Technology as the Head of CERT Special Handling, Incident Management & CERT Implementation Specialist, and at Cranfield University as a Recognised Lecturer in Incident Response and CERT. Kieren Niĉolas served as a Cybersecurity lecturer and Supervisor at Pembroke College, Cambridge, where they led modules on Ethical Hacking.
Lovell's expertise also extends to the maritime industry, where they worked as a Gamemaster for the Maritime Cybersecurity Exercise at TTÜ Estonian Maritime Academy.
Most recently, Lovell served as the Head of Information Security at Pipedrive before joining BVGroup as the Head of Computer Emergency Response and IT Security in 2022. Kieren Niĉolas Lovell attended Witchford Village College in Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom from 1998 to 2000. Kieren Niĉolas later studied at the Maritime Warfare School, HMS Collingwood in Fareham, Hampshire, United Kingdom from 2007 to 2008, where they obtained a degree in Communications & Information Systems. Additionally, they received certifications as a Chief Senior Communications Officer from NATO in 2013 and as an Incident Handler in Communications from the Royal Navy in 2009.
