Johannes Kaske

Johannes Kaske currently serves as the Managing Director for Layer1 at BVNK since August 2024, following a tenure as Director of Custody Products at Ripple from January to August 2024. Previously, Johannes held the role of Product Director at Metaco from September 2020 to August 2024, overseeing the digital asset suite and contributing significantly to institutional digital asset infrastructure. Prior to Metaco, Johannes managed the Bavarian Center for Blockchain as Head and coordinated the Blockchain Strategy for the German State of Bavaria while serving as Sales Director for Bayerisches Staatsministerium für Digitales. Additional experience includes leadership roles in companies such as KICKBASE, BLOCKROCKET, German Nutrition GmbH, vitafy GmbH, and PeerPot. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in International Management from Esade and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Economics from Universität Passau, alongside ongoing research at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz.
