Russell Smith has over 20 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Russell is currently the Group Director - Project Management at BWB Consulting Ltd since April 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Capita Real Estate and Infrastructure for 13 years, where they held positions such as Associate Director of Cost & Management Services, Senior Project Manager, Project & Contracts Manager, and Project Manager. Before joining Capita, Russell worked as a Project Co-ordinator at CAIP and as a CAD Technician at StarNet Geomatics and PHW Network Services. Russell started their career at Mason Communications as an IT Support and later became a Radio Survey Technician. Russell has a strong background in project management and extensive experience in cost and management services.

Russell Smith has a diverse education history in project management. In 2019, they completed a Prince2 certification program at AXELOS, specializing in project management. In 2010-2011, Russell attended NEC Training, where they focused on the Association for Project Management (APM) and obtained the APMP qualification. Prior to that, in 2009-2010, they pursued an Edexcel Level 5 BTEC degree at Stockport College. Additionally, Russell has obtained several certifications, including being an Associated Professional Member (APM) of the Association for Project Management, as well as being accredited as a NEC3 and NEC4 ECC Project Manager by NEC Contracts™. Russell has also received training in leadership and management at the Chartered Management Institute and has completed various other project management courses, such as PRINCE2™ Foundation Certification Training and Programme provisions under NEC3 Contracts by NEC Contracts™, and Project Management in Primavera (P6) by Oracle.
