Daniel Galicki

Materials Engineer

Daniel Galicki is a seasoned Materials Engineer at BWX Technologies, Inc., leading efforts in modeling and simulation, fuel manufacturing, and irradiation experiment design for advanced nuclear fuel within the Advanced Reactor Demonstration Program funded by the U.S. Department of Energy. Previous experience includes roles as a PhD Research Assistant at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where research focused on the recyclability of metal powders in additive manufacturing, and various positions at Texas A&M University, including Graduate Student Worker and Research Assistant, where significant contributions were made in radiological safety, nuclear powder production, and lab management. Daniel's early career included internships at Idaho National Laboratory and Duke Energy Corporation, contributing to research on nuclear reactor sustainability and thermal hydraulics coding, respectively. Daniel holds a Ph.D. in Material Science & Engineering, a Master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering with a materials focus, and a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering, all from prestigious institutions.
