Tom Carls

Tom Carls serves as the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Small Business Capital Division at Byline Bank, responsible for the asset quality of that division since May 2009. In addition to this role, Tom facilitates webinars for the Wisconsin chapter of the Risk Management Association and has been a Faculty Lecturer at Carroll University since July 2022, teaching courses on managing financial institutions and principles of finance. Previously, Tom taught various finance courses at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and associated campuses from 2000 to December 2021. Prior to his current positions, Tom held executive roles at Bank of Kenosha and Bank One (now JP Morgan/Chase). Tom holds an M.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a B.S. in Finance and Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
