Cassiano Surek

Cassiano Surek is the Chief Technical Officer at Beyond. Cassiano has over three years of experience in management and a background in software development. Prior to their current position, they were the Technical Director at Beyond, where they were responsible for running the London Technology Department. Cassiano was also part of the Senior Management Team and the ISMS (information security management system) Steering Committee. In these roles, they managed a team of backend and frontend developers, QA and DevOps engineers. Cassiano also was responsible for recruitment, solution architecture, technical project specification and risk assessment, feature feasibility analysis and SLA implementation, preparation and presentation of technical strategy in pitches and tenders, and promotion of team best practices across technical specialisms. In addition, they encouraged innovation through internal hardware and software hacking sessions (arduino/raspberry pi), and identified new business opportunities with existing clients.

Cassiano Surek has a Master's Degree in Music Technology from the University of York and a BSc in Informatics with a focus on Software Engineering and Development from Unicenp. Cassiano also has a certification from Scrum Alliance as a Certified Scrum Master - CSM.
