Sue-Anne Kong

Sue-Anne Kong is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in corporate and payments law. Currently serving as Senior Global Payments Counsel at ByteDance since March 2023, Sue-Anne leads payments legal compliance within the organization. Prior to this role, Sue-Anne was the Head of Legal at Coda Payments from April 2018 to April 2023, where Sue-Anne was the first and sole corporate counsel and was part of the leadership team. Earlier positions include Senior Associate at Opal Lawyers LLC specializing in corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions, along with experience in various capacities at One Legal LLC, Yeo-Leong & Peh LLC, Hall & Wilcox, and Meyer Vandenberg Lawyers, focusing on corporate, intellectual property, and information technology law. Sue-Anne holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with Honours from The Australian National University and a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) with Honours from the University of Sydney.
