Vijay Daita

Vijay Daita is currently an intern at ByteDance on the Data Architecture team, having started in September 2025. Previously, Vijay held positions as a Software Engineering Intern at Exa, focusing on backend development related to recency data and code search, and as a Course Assistant at The Grainger College of Engineering, where responsibilities included teaching, grading, and providing support for courses in applied parallel programming and algorithms. Additionally, Vijay served as a Research Assistant at the Gies College of Business, conducting NLP analysis on corporate documents and creating data visualizations. Vijay also gained experience as a Software Development Intern at Mako, developing datasets and a synthetic data generation pipeline. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Computer Science from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Economics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
