Dr. Christy Sheehy co-founded C. Light and brings over 12 years of technical and leadership experience in the optical engineering and neurodegenerative realm, numerous publications / presentations, and clinical experience with neurological patient populations. She worked as an optical system test engineer at Corning Tropel Corporation and designed C. Light’s core technology, the “Retitrack”, through her dissertation at UC Berkeley. She successfully acted as the PI for an SBIR Phase 1 grant from the NIH entitled, “Retinal eye-tracking as a diagnostic tool for traumatic brain injury and concussion” and was the PI for the Phase 1 STTR investigating MS. She is currently the PI on an Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation grant exploring changes in fixation with mild cognitive impairment and has brought in over $3 million to C. Light in venture backed funding. She was educated at the University of Rochester (B.S. in Optics and M.S. in Optics with a concentration in Business Administration) and UC Berkeley (Ph.D. in Vision Science).
