Vice President - Business Development - Steinweg Sharaf India at C. Steinweg Group

Mehul Karia has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Mehul started their career at Unilever, where they worked in the Secretarial and Share Department. Mehul then joined The Kapol Co-Op. Bank Limited, where they worked in the Demat - Depository Department. After that, they joined ICICI Bank as a Manager in the Investment Services department.

Mehul then moved on to Kotak Mahindra Bank, where they served as a Relationship Manager and was responsible for setting up a new branch and managing bank accounts and trade-related services.

Following their time at Kotak Mahindra Bank, Mehul joined NCDEX (National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange Limited) as an Assistant Vice President of Business Development. Mehul played a key role in marketing and increasing the turnover of derivatives contracts and spot bullion contracts. Mehul also worked on designing and improving trading systems and engaged in joint marketing efforts with other organizations.

Next, Mehul worked as the Director of Business Development at Kunvarji Finstock Private Limited. In this role, they developed and implemented strategies for business development and relationship management with various financial institutions.

After that, Mehul served as the Director & Head of Business Development at Kalyx Warehousing Pvt. Ltd., where they focused on offering integrated solutions for diverse warehousing needs and executed strategies for professional warehousing and logistics.

Most recently, Mehul joined C. Steinweg Group as the Vice President of Business Development for Steinweg Sharaf India. Mehul is responsible for driving business development efforts for the company.

Throughout their career, Mehul has demonstrated strong leadership skills, relationship management abilities, and a deep understanding of the financial and commodities markets.

Mehul Karia's education history begins with their attendance at St. Josephs English High School in Mumbai from 1983 to 1992. Following their high school education, they pursued a higher diploma in software engineering from APTECH Computer Education for two years, starting in 1992. From 1992 to 1997, they studied commerce and tax procedures & practices at H.R. College of Commerce and Economics, receiving a B.Com with a vocational degree. In 1999 to 2000, they furthered their education in information technology at the CONCOURSE INSTITUTE - DADAR CENTRE, specializing in IBM AS/400 & RPG/400. Lastly, from 2002 to 2005, Mehul Karia pursued an MBA in Finance and Financial Management Services from K.J. Somaiya Institute Of Management Studies and Research (SIMSR) on a part-time basis.
