Miles Payling has a wealth of work experience in the medical field. Miles began their career in 2011 as an FY1 Doctor at Ealing Hospital Trust. Miles then worked as an FY2 Doctor at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust from 2012 to 2013. From 2013 to 2014, they worked as a CT1 Doctor at Croydon University Hospital and at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. In 2014, they also worked as a CT2 Doctor at St Georges Healthcare NHS Trust and co-founded Project Medicine. From 2015 to 2016, they worked as a Specialty Doctor at Ealing Hospital. In 2016, they began working as a Clinical Editor at BMJ. Finally, in 2017, they co-founded C the Signs.

Miles Payling attended Imperial College London from 2005 to 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) in Medicine. During this time, they also obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Neuroscience and Mental Health from Imperial College London from 2008 to 2009. In April 2015, they obtained the MRCP certification from the Royal College of Physicians.
