Director of Fermentation at c16 Biosciences

Chaogang Liu is currently the Director of Fermentation at c16 Biosciences. Chaogang has over 10 years of experience in fermentation and biomass conversion, having worked as an independent consultant and project leader at Novozymes - BioAg Alliance with Monsanto. During their time at Novozymes, they were responsible for setting up auto-controlled DASGIP bioreactor systems and solid fermentation platforms, as well as developing effective fermentation, formulation, and preservation methods for over 100 selected agriculture-beneficial microbes. Chaogang also invented a new method for induced growth and sporulation of "Tough-to-deal with" Bacillus/Paenibacillus strains in liquid fermentation.

They work with Don DiMasi - Senior VP, Process Development, Alexandre Chapeaux - Director of Downstream Process, and Brenda Margolies - Head of Program Management. Chaogang Liu reports to Shara Ticku, Co-Founder & CEO.
