Alice Shimali

Alice Shimali has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Alice currently works as the Head of Communications at c2c, where they focus on developing the company's communications strategy. Prior to this, they held various roles at GTR (Govia Thameslink Railway), including Senior Public Relations Manager and Public Relations Manager, where they led proactive and reactive PR campaigns and managed external content. Alice also worked as a Global Employer Brand Manager at Unilever, where they curated personal blogs to showcase life at the company. Earlier in their career, they were a Senior Reporter and Acting News Editor at Euromoney Institutional Investor - Futures and Options World, a News Editor at Alliance News Limited, and a Reporter at Profit and Loss Magazine. Alice also worked as a Reporter at World Market Intelligence and served as the News Editor of The Verse (previously The Pebble) at Brighton University's student newspaper. Alice completed a work placement as a Reporter at Profit and Loss Magazine during their undergraduate studies.

Alice Shimali attended Chislehurst and Sidcup Grammar School from 2000 to 2007, where they obtained 11 GCSEs and completed A-Levels in Psychology, Business Studies, and Religious Studies. From 2007 to 2010, they pursued their Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Media Studies at the University of Brighton. In terms of additional certifications, Alice obtained the HIGH5 Strengths Test certification from HIGH5TEST in April 2023.
