Shabbir Mukati

Shabbir Mukati's work experience begins with their current role as the Head of Technology and Infrastructure at Caary Capital, where they have transformed a FinTech company by streamlining IT operations and leading high-performing teams. Shabbir has aligned infrastructure with business goals, prioritized security, and optimized helpdesk support, resulting in a comprehensive system transformation. Shabbir has also introduced modern technologies and trends, driving the adoption of DevOps methodology and automation practices.

Prior to their current role, Mukati worked as the Director of IT Infrastructure at WIS International from 2019 to 2022. There, they managed and mentored a team of professionals and successfully streamlined multiple infrastructure platforms, transitioning from on-premises virtualization to cloud-native operations in Microsoft Azure.

Before that, they worked at SHUAA Capital psc from 2007 to 2019, holding multiple roles. As a Systems Manager, they developed IT strategy and designed scalable infrastructure, conducting successful annual disaster recovery tests. As a Sr. Security and Systems Engineer, they implemented change management, enforced policies and procedures, conducted security audits, and enhanced network security. Shabbir also started their career at SHUAA Capital psc as a Network Engineer.

In 2005, Mukati briefly worked at Microsoft as a Network Support Engineer.

Shabbir Mukati completed a Bachelor of Administrative Studies in Information Technology from York University between the years 2002 and 2005. They further pursued higher education at the University of Liverpool from 2010 to 2013, earning a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Information Systems Management. Additionally, Shabbir obtained an Honours Diploma in e-Technology Computing from NIIT Limited in October 2001.
